How to Style a Denim on Denim Outfit (The Chanel Way)

How Two Chanel-Clad Women Made Head-to-Toe Denim Look Effortlessly Elevated I spotted this denim-drenched duo just outside Monet’s house in Giverny, and they instantly made a case for the denim outfit ideas we often overlook. Both women were in different-wash denim from head to toe, and not only did it work—it was chic in that uniquely French way: undone, but intentional. One wore a Chanel denim tunic (yes, that one), and both had Chanel ballet shoes and Hermès Kelly bags that quietly screamed understated luxury. The magic? They didn’t try to match the denim washes. That’s the first rule of pulling off a Canadian tuxedo the French way: don’t match your denim. Pair your chambray top with deep indigo jeans or faded wide legs with a puff-sleeve blouse. Play with shape, color, and texture. A denim top could be worn over any style of pant and any skirt you can think of (just like how denim jeans are so versatile).  And let’s talk accessories. The wrong item can be so right. One had a pearl chain on her sunglasses—the kind of old-school touch that now feels very right. Add a pearl bow, a headband, or even those cap-toe flats you forgot you owned. These are the small but mighty style shifts that make a basic outfit look curated but casual. Almost everyone owns denim. So lean into it. Combine what you have before shopping for something new. But if you’re hunting, secondhand sites like Vinted, Poshmark, or TheRealReal are a goldmine. Try search terms like “chambray with puff sleeves,” “denim tunic,” or “denim with bow tie”—and you’ll be shocked by what you unearth.  Denim on denim is so easy and there’s an effortlessness to it that feels super chic… even if you did have to post a few side by sides on AMC to get to that super chic place. We won’t tell. It’ll just seem like you have that sprezzatura magic or that je ne sais quoi. 📌 Pin This I think the ease and effortlessness, but such a chic outcome, is what caught my eye. If an all denim outfit feels unnatural, post polls on AMC to warm up to it. See which look the community thinks works. Your friend might be afraid to say nope. But if you have two side by side images, one always wins and everyone is voting for the better one. 📌 Pin This If you put on an outfit that feels OH SO RIGHT, post that to AMC too, but post it as “saving this look”. 📌 Pin This Look $39.99 A dress is an easy way to lean into all denim – the top and bottom are decided for you automatically with no outfit combining prowess required. Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $4246 Here is the exact version of the one that the lady with the white Kelly and white Mary Jane Chanel flats had on, so you can see it in more detail. It really was a beautiful tunic shape. It could be worn over any style of pant and any skirt you can think of. The versatility of a perfect denim top is as versatile as a pair of denim pants. Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $72 Another fantastic, easy way to dive into denim. Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $44.99 You can wear this as a dress. You could ALSO have it altered to your perfect tunic length and get maybe even MORE wear out of it than if it were just a dress? Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $39.99 This dark-wash denim dress channels vintage utility with its gold buttons and flap pockets—but the clean silhouette keeps it modern. Layer it over a tee for fall. Wear it solo for summer. Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $1200 A splurge, but hear us out: Valentino wanted in the denim game. This silhouette is the unexpected hero piece. Pair with crisp button-downs, slouchy sweaters, or fitted knits—year-round. Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $258 The same charm as the designer version—without the sticker shock. A smart way to test the shape before committing, or to wear into the ground guilt-free. Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $590 This top has range. It reads polished with a skirt, playful with denim, and editorial under a blazer. This is the kind of “hero piece” that makes every outfit more styled. Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $550 If you want your outerwear to style your outfit for you, this one does it. The shape is cropped and sharp, and it layers easily over dresses or high-waisted bottoms. Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $390 Buying the set? This gives you endless styling mileage. Wear it as part of a polished two-piece or break it up with tees and tanks. Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $520 These are power pants. Crisp, elevated denim with clean lines and a high waist—ideal for structured layering or pairing with soft blouses. They instantly polish your outfit and work hard across seasons. Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $62.5 A wardrobe win for anyone who likes feminine details without the fuss. Style it under a sweater in winter, or solo in spring. It adds instant personality to your basics. Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $129 This hemline solves the ‘tuck or not’ dilemma. It’s polished, easy, and looks done—even untucked. Add to cart if you’re building a capsule of no-brainer style upgrades. Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $185 Strategic dressing starts with timeless accessories. These add a quiet-luxury finish to any outfit and work with jeans, dresses, or tailored trousers. Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $99 Want the look without the four-digit price? These give you the same iconic contrast-cap effect at a budget-friendlier price point—and yes, they’re comfortable too. Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $1075 The quiet power piece.

How to Style Wildly Patterned Silk Pants for Every Season

Why Wild Patterns Are Closet Gold https://youtube.com/shorts/LNBpUsBO9iM?feature=share Ever stare down a pair of wildly patterned silk pants and think, “Stunning, but where would I wear those?” Let me stop you right there. These aren’t just pants—they’re a lifestyle, a statement, a wearable vacation, and yes, a surprisingly practical choice. Whether you’re dressing for winter layering or beach lounging, there’s a way to make them work. The secret? Treat them like the secret neutrals they are. All the items shown for styling are in FINDS, which is easily searchable (filter by category and price). There are over 70 ways to wear these pants, so keep scrolling and be inspired!  📌 Pin This CLOSET GOLD: Start with the pattern: The more colors in the print, the more tops, shoes, and accessories in your closet will magically match. A two-tone print is cute but limiting. A wild five-color mix? It’s counterintuitive, but a five-color wild mix gives you more styling freedom than a minimalist black-and-white pair. Plus, wild patterns hide wear and tear, spills, and stains—making them not just stylish, but secretly durable. That’s styling gold. That’s a low cost-per-wear. 📌 Pin This These two colors are a beautiful pairing. They make your pairing options slightly more limited though. Which is fine if you love them! It is just something to be aware of if you’re looking to build an optimized wardrobe. 📌 Pin This Think texture, not just color: Mix in knits for cold weather or the airport, linens in warm weather, or silks for dressy nights. Add layers for the plane. Use as a coverup at the pool. Throw on for breakfast, but look polished instead of ragged. Upload your fits to Adjust My Crown so you remember what works (and what felt best). That makes life and packing easier… optimization with a side of style. 📌 Pin This Look $750 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $620 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $160 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $150 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $750 Take me there

Soft, Sweet, and Stylish: Sweatshirt Styling Tips Inspired by Rococo Romance

There’s something undeniably charming about blending comfort with romance — especially when the inspiration is Rococo. Picture it: soft pastels, delicate ruffles, and ornate details — but make it cozy enough for a nap. That’s the vibe we’re channeling today with a Ralph Lauren Wimbledon sweatshirt as our canvas. The challenge? A darling human who knows her style (think romantic, feminine, and a bit dreamy) requested: “Make this feminine… but also, it’s nap time.” So, we need pieces that balance comfort with ladylike touches, layers that add interest without sacrificing ease, and accessories that feel intentional yet relaxed. Final Thoughts: It’s All About What Feels Good Ultimately, the goal here is to blend comfort with a touch of Rococo magic. Have fun with your outfit, and don’t overthink it. Layer, experiment, and — most importantly — love what you’re wearing. After all, you’re the one who gets to feel fabulous (or take a nap) in it. Now go on, add that Rococo touch to your favorite sweatshirt and show the world that romantic style and cozy vibes can coexist beautifully. 📌 Pin This Step 1: Balance Cozy and Cute Comfy bottoms are key here. Try soft wide-leg trousers in pastel hues, knit skirts that skim the ankle, or even high-waisted lounge pants in a luxe fabric. The goal? Feel like yourself, but elevated — as if you’re channeling Marie Antoinette on a Sunday morning. 📌 Pin This Step 2: Shop Your Closet for Romantic Details Start by pulling out pieces that give a nod to old-world femininity. Think ruffled blouses, embroidered cardigans, or anything with a bit of lace or crochet. These are your layering heroes, adding texture and softness to balance the sporty edge of the sweatshirt. 📌 Pin This Step 3: Play with Patterns and Colors Don’t shy away from mixing prints. Floral leggings under an oversized sweatshirt, plaid skirts paired with a lacy tank — it’s all about creating unexpected pairings that feel intentional and a little decadent. If in doubt, stick to a color palette of soft pinks, creams, and muted blues.Don’t be afraid to mix it all! 📌 Pin This 📌 Pin This Look $15 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $45.46 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $45.46 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $20 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $19.97 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $79.9 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $328 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $150 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $150 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $36 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $253 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $253 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $239 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $215 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $180 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $28.67 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $650 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $650 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $650 Take me there

Clutch, Please

Pretty or Huh? This floral-embroidered midi is pure romance. Depending on your personality, you may want to cut the sweetness with some serious personality, lean into the details, go classic… Strictly speaking, etiquette leans toward fabric clutches (like satin or silk) for formal or garden party settings. Leather works too — just make sure it feels refined and seasonally appropriate. Beaded and embellished clutches also work. I also think you should just throw etiquette out the window and treat others the way you want to be treated. My personal pick? I love the French Fries and I’m sorry for making you cringe. Post polls comparing clutches you own to these clutches to see which “wins” if you’re not sure. No matter what you do, love it. 📌 Pin This These clutches are playful statement pieces. From french fry cartons to a retro boombox and a cupcake, they’re more conversation starters than classic accessories — perfect for adding a quirky twist to an elegant look. They’re also perfect for introverts because they’re conversation starters. 📌 Pin This These clutches are pure elegance with a touch of unexpected shine. From the quilted gold classic to the sculptural metallic statement and dreamy pastel satin, they strike that perfect balance of ladylike but modern. 📌 Pin This These clutches are like wearable bouquets — floral, ornate, and unapologetically romantic. They make a statement without losing their ladylike charm (French Fries I’m looking at you, even though you are my favorite). 📌 Pin This Look $995 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $5995 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $5995 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $1995 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $4995 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $4500 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $1750 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $2850 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $35.89 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $31.99 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $31.99 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $29.99 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $32.99 Take me there 📌 Pin This Look $33 Take me there

From Sneakers to Polished

Not into tennis shoes? Or into tennis shoes during the day, only when necessary, but the kind of girl who wants polish, as often as possible? No problem. Your outfits should work harder for you than you did to buy those outfits, but usually we don’t require much of them. Just swap the sneakers for ballet flats, sandals, or a block heel when the sun goes down. Same base, different look.

Can You Really Wear Sneakers With Everything? The Art of the Sporty-Sweet Combo Fit

Short answer: yes. And I do — often because of my very casual lifestyle in a very casual city. The casualization of American fashion? It’s a whole thing. Some call it a tragedy (hi, Tom Ford). Others find it liberating. Honestly, I’m both. I miss the glamour, but I also love being able to run through a full day — errands, schooling my boys (while they’re still shorter than me) in basketball before I go to tennis matches for older sisters, to early dinner — in tennis shoes without blinking or changing. The secret to making sneakers feel intentional? High-low balance. Think: an easy dress + sneakers + jewelry that’s uniquely you. Something with a little story — vintage (from your grandmother?), a charm bracelet that feels personal, a necklace you’ve worn forever, a signet ring that makes you smile, earrings you never take off. Keep the sneakers and jewelry on repeat, and just rotate the dress. It’s a real-life uniform that works hard without feeling tired. For these collages I was mindful of how expensive some of recommended tennis shoes & bags were, so none of the dresses are over $100 (Think Walmart, Old Navy, Abercrombie). Two are from Walmart and they fit beautifully and the fabric is easily as good as a dress that is over $500. Because I wear my sneakers constantly, I don’t mind spending a little more on them. The cost-per-wear always ends up lower, which is the kind of math I can get behind. Bonus: I don’t have to think too hard. And I like it that way. So where does the Adjust My Crown app fit into all of this — and how does it help you become the chicest version of yourself in less time than you’ve ever spent getting dressed? Use it to pre-shop smarter. You can post side-by-sides: things you already own next to the new item you’re considering orpit two new options against each other in a poll. Let your closet (and your community) weigh in before you commit. Once you do buy something new, style it every way you can while the dopamine is high and you’re still in love with it. Then save those looks in the app so they’re ready when you’re not feeling inspired. I know — you think you’ll remember all the ways you wore it. But trust me, it’s freeing to offload that mental clutter. In the morning, you can just scroll your collections, pick a fully styled outfit (accessories and all), and be out the door looking and feeling amazing in under a minute. Want to polish these same dresses? See the next post…
