Style Simple Outfits With One (or more!) Statement Accessory
I rounded up 20 Luxury Options (Gucci, Chanel, Roger Vivier, Valentino, Dries Van Noten… the gang’s all here…)
First of all, an under $200 round of options is coming. Don’t worry. I know this list is absurdly priced and absurdly loud styling, but I do think a single dose of absurd (whatever your definition of absurd is…) is just the thing every once in awhile. I think it’s like a pinch of salt in a recipe. The easiest way to style simple party outfits is to build a quiet base and add one (miniumum) statement accessory, whetther earrings, a red lip, a bold necklace, a festive clutch, or standout shoes. Echo its color or texture once somewhere else in your outfit if you need to feel tied together; keep everything else minimal or lazy if that’s all you’ve got in you (it me, most of the time).
To do now
Before you spiral into “I have nothing to wear” territory, pull your best black sweater, straight jeans or velvet pants, a structured blazer, or an LBD. That’s your canvas. Now add one statement moment and build from there.

Statement jewelry
Chunky pearls or a jeweled collar over a plain knit is editorial-level simple. Keep earrings tiny if statement accessories feel uncomfortable. Repeat the tone or idea (pearls/rhinestones) in a shoe buckle or bag hardware.
Festive purse or clutch outfit
Think of it as jewelry you hold. A jeweled or metallic clutch or purse flips the simple “denim + blazer” outfit equation to party-ready in 10 seconds.

Party shoe outfits
Sparkly shoes, velvet shoes, metallic shoes, oh my!
Shoes are the stealth hero, especially when everything else is simple. If sidewalks are slick, flats > stilettos. Real life chic and not twisting your ankle always wins. If a flat shoe is designed with enough of a statement, you don’t need that heel anyway.
Cost-per-wear > initial cost
Wear-all-year classics like the metallic Manolo flats with the crystal buckle drop your cost per wear fast if you reach for them across all seasons. They work for classy winter outfits, summer date outfits, and spring wedding looks alike.
Metallic or velvet pairs actually act like neutrals. Bronze, pewter, or deep burgundy behave beautifully with black, denim, navy, and cream.
Remember what you own and wear
Use AMC’s “Collections” to log your looks, which helps you to rewear (and sometimes take time to restyle) those splurge statement accessories.
2028 you
Your future you will thank you when you are spiraling and convinced you “have nothing to wear” but you can look back into a “Party 2025 Looks” Collection and remind yourself you do, in fact have at least one option you can play with.
